Who am I? This is my 21stth year teaching, 16 of which I have spent working for LUHSD. I spent my first 5 years at Freedom High School and have been working at Heritage High School since the fall of 2005. I have spent many of my years teaching as a active learner, having completed 250+ hours of extra science trainings to make sure that I can offer students the most relevant and cutting edge science topics. I even had the chance to teach a Biotechnology class at CSUEB during the summer of 2012. I was honored to receive the Warren Eukel Teacher Trust award for 2012 as well as HHS Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013. During the spring of 2013 I was really excited to forge a relationship with Amgen and become a Amgen Teacher Leader . I believe in being a lifetime learning, I have an open door policy and am always available students to come for extra help if they need it.

I love to Travel. I have visited 40 different countries. The travel bug bit me after graduating from USD. I left on a 6 month trip around Europe, just me and two bags; It was life changing. I haven't stopped traveling since. I actually decided to become a teacher on that trip, and that must have been my calling, because I love teaching. I am married, have 11 children .We love to have adventures as a family. I love traveling so much,
